ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

22 year old Emmanuel Sylvester was charged with setting a fire inside the Walgreen's Pharmacy that caused the store to close for at least three days, and damaged merchandise in the store.

Officials say that Sylvester was mad about a negative work evaluation, and set the fire as revenge.

Investigators say Sylvester set fire to a bag of charcoal on a shelf on aisle 6 shortly before the store closed, sparking the blaze. The video surveillance camera on that aisle was not working.

"We can assume maybe he did have knowledge that that camera was not working.  But either way we can place him at the scene.  We know he had a motive," said Chief James Carswell.

Investigators say Sylvester was one of only two people in the store Sunday night when the fire was set.  He is being held in the Dougherty County jail.

The store remains closed today, and officials say they are not sure when it will re-open.  The estimated damage to the store contents is more than $100,000.

He was arrested Tuesday afternoon, and charged with Arson in the first degree.
