Former President Carter to auction more than 150 items

ATLANTA (CBS46) -

Former President Jimmy Carter will be auctioning more than 150 items at the end of June to benefit the Carter Center.

Proceeds from the auction, which will take place on June 28, will go toward the Carter Center's work to advance peace and health in 80 of the world's poorest nations, according to Carter Center spokeswoman Deanna Congileo.

Among the items being auction will be:

  • An original painting by Carter
  • A handmade coffee table by Carter
  • A signed presidential book collection
  • An Annie Liebovitz photo of eight Nobel Peace Prize laureates, including signatures
  • Photos of U.S. presidents, including signatures
  • John Wayne memorabilia
  • 1995 Corvette

Bids for the silent auction will be accepted until 2 p.m., MT on June 27.

Bids for the live auction will be accepted until 4 p.m., MT on June 28.
