COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

The victim said he had just exited his Ford F-150 when a woman jumped in and drove off. The victim says he then jumped into the bed of the truck, but the woman drove the car in a way that was meant to toss him. It is unclear if or when the victim fell out of the truck.

The woman then drove to Phenix City where police pursued her, and she eventually drove back to Columbus, they say. She was arrested on East Britt David Road. along with another man. A second man who was inside the car fled from the scene. It is unknown when the two men entered the car.

The woman and the man are charged with theft by taking a motor vehicle. The woman may possibly be charged with aggravated assault for allegedly attempting to throw the man from the truck bed.

A warrant will be issued for the suspect who fled from the scene.

This case remains under investigation.
