Investigators: Fake cop story 'was a lie'

BONO, AR (KAIT) – Craighead County sheriff's investigators say a woman who claimed to have been stopped by a fake cop was lying.

Hannah Tagge, 21, of Jonesboro is charged with filing a false police report.

On Monday night Tagge reported a man in a black Hummer, posing a police officer, stopped her on Highway 63 near Bono.

Tagge told investigators the man searched her car, patted her down and let her go with a warning.

Captain Justin Rolland of the Craighead Sheriff's Office says Tagge admitted that it was all a lie.

She is due in court July 15 to answer the charges against her.
