Joe Kelly will make rehab start Friday in Memphis

MEMPHIS ( – The Memphis Redbirds return to AutoZone Park on Thursday to open a four-game weekend series against the division-rival Round Rock Express (Triple-A Rangers). The four-game series will be highlighted by a 2013 St. Louis Cardinals NLCS Replica Ring Giveaway and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Fundraiser with postgame fireworks.

Coors Light Block Party: Every Friday, gates open early for a Block Party featuring 16 oz. Coors Lights for $2 and live music from 5:00-7:00 p.m. in the AutoZone Park plaza.

Joe Kelly Rehab Start: St. Louis Cardinals right-hander and former Redbird Joe Kelly is scheduled to make a rehab start for Memphis on Friday. Kelly, who has been on the 15-day disabled list since April 17 with a left hamstring strain, is expected to throw between 40-60 pitches for the Redbirds in his first rehab start.

Saturday, June 28 vs. Round Rock Express at 6:05 p.m. (gates open at 5:00 p.m.)

St. Jude Fundraiser: The Redbirds & ServiceMaster are teaming up to raise money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital on Saturday. Fans can use the special promotional code STJUDE when purchasing their tickets online to donate $5 back to St. Jude to fight childhood cancer. Postgame Fireworks: A fireworks extravaganza will follow the game, presented by ServiceMaster.

Signature Saturday: Select Redbird players will sign autographs in the plaza from 5:00-5:30 p.m.

Sunday, June 29 vs. Round Rock Express at 6:05 p.m. (gates open at 5:00 p.m.)

Kids Run the Bases: Kids 12 and under get to take the field after the game and run like the Redbirds.

Six Flags St. Louis Coupon Giveaway: The first 3,000 kids under 48" tall will receive one complimentary ticket to Six Flags, St. Louis. Looney Tunes characters will also be at the ballpark to meet fans.

Following the homestand, Memphis will travel east down I-40 to face the cross-state rival Nashville Sounds (Triple-A Brewers) in a four-games series before returning to AutoZone Park on Independence Day for a seven-game homestand against the division-rival New Orleans Zephyrs (Triple-A Marlins) and Nashville Sounds.
