Stolen truck investigation leads to drug arrests

HORSESHOE BEND, AR (KAIT) – Four people were arrested following an investigation into a stolen truck.

According to the Izard County Sheriff’s Department, the arrests were made on June 27 at a home in Horseshoe Bend. A sheriff’s deputy was on patrol when he noticed a truck reportedly stolen from Lawrence County at 1003 Pleasant Point.

While clearing the home, officers seized drug paraphernalia including a glass pipe used for smoking meth and a marijuana smoking device, according to the sheriff’s department.

Justin Dean Wallace of Alma was arrested and accused of having possession of the stolen truck. He also faces charges of possession of drug paraphernalia along with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a defaced firearm.  He is being held without bond.

Three other people face charges of possession of drug paraphernalia. They include David Dale Smart of Horseshoe Bend, Sara Jo Bostick of Horseshoe Bend and Charlene Loretta Ayscue of Melbourne.

Each of the three posted a $1,105 bond on June 28 and were given a court date.
