Drowning victim's body recovered from Old Hickory Lake

HENDERSONVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Officials with the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency say a man's body has been recovered from Old Hickory Lake.

The TWRA said a man on a personal floatation device reached out for a personal watercraft, which flipped over onto the man.

The man, identified as 26-year-old Regen Jewett, went under the water and did not come up back up, officials say.

This happened in the part of the lake known as Skinny Dip Cove, which is off Walton Ferry Road in Hendersonville, around 2:45 p.m. Friday.

Officials say no charges are being filed.
