Madisonville police searching for hit and run suspect

MADISONVILLE, KY (WFIE) -

Madisonville Police continue to search for a hit and run driver who struck a pedestrian while they were walking to work.

Police say it happened Thursday night on Whittington Dr.

They say a light colored, older model extended cab pickup was heading south when it hit Johnathan Davis.

He was flown to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville with serious injuries.

Police say the pickup truck may have damage to the front of the passenger side.

"He remembers them clipping him, then he remembers hitting the ground, and he remembers headlights being on his face," said Davis' sister, Stephanie Bowley. "As if a car was passing by and him just screaming for help and nobody stopping. I just want whoever did this to be held accountable because it was my brother. Luckily it wasn't a child that couldn't recover from something like this. And it could be your brother, or your mom, or your child."

If you have any information, you are asked to call the Madisonville Police Department.
