Eyes are already watching Mike Davis.

The USC junior tailback was named to the 2014 Maxwell Award Watch List.

Davis, standing at 5'9" and weighing in at 223 pounds, finished last year with the fourth-highest single-season rushing yard total in school history (1,183).  Davis also earned All-SEC accolades and is a third-team All-American to both Phil Steele's and Athlon's magazines according to USC Sports Information.

The Maxwell Award is named in honor of Robert W. "Tiny" Maxwell and has been given to America's College Player of the Year since 1937. Semifinalists for the Maxwell Award will be announced on November 3 while the finalists will be revealed on November 24.

The winner will be announced as part of the Home Depot College Football Awards Show held on December 11.
