PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) – Two Paragould men were arrested on charges of aggravated robbery of a convenience store in early June, according to court documents.

According to documents filed in Greene County District Court, Brett Herren, 23, of Paragould and Garry Marquice Brown, 27, of Paragould were charged with aggravated robbery. According to the arrest affidavit, Brown entered Jordan’s North End, 324 North End Avenue, carrying a sawed off shotgun. Brown can be seen on surveillance video approaching the store clerk and putting the shotgun in his back while ordering him behind the counter. The cashier then opened the cash drawer to allow Brown to take the money. Surveillance video captured him then leaving the scene, according to court documents.

Herren was identified as the store clerk, according to the probable cause affidavit.

Documents suggested that Herren was working as the clerk when he called police. Police said they could see Herren talking to Brown and another suspect. Before the robbery, Herren is seen on video walking outside with the suspects.

The affidavit also suggested, “when the suspect walked in the store with a sawed off shotgun, Brett Herren can be seen laughing.”

Both cases have been transferred to Greene County Circuit Court.
