NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

A man accused in the double shooting on a Central City basketball court is being held on a $1 million bond.

Gerard Gray, 23, surrendered to police on Monday. Gray, along with 21-year-old Jonterry Bernard, were initially listed as ‘persons of interest' in the double shooting at A.L. Davis Park.

Officers say two victims were shot on July 8 inside A.L. Davis Park, located in the 2600 block of Lasalle Street. Two people were shot on the basketball court, police say. Two cousins were critically injured. The victims have recently been upgraded to stable condition.

According to our partners at NOLA.com, the argument stemmed from whose turn it was to play on the basketball court. Victims said Bernard fired more than 20 shots.

On Thursday, 21-year-old Jonterry Bernard was arrested for his involvement in the shooting and charged with two counts of attempted murder.

Gray turned himself in to the Orleans Parish Criminal Sheriff's Office on Monday. Gray was booked with two counts of aggravated murder.
