Guns, $20K in valuables taken from BG home

BOWLING GREEN, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Police in Bowling Greenare investigating a burglary from a home where several items were stolen,including two guns.

The theft occurred July 4on Darlyn Street, and police say they don't currently have any suspects in thecase. In addition to two shotguns, about $20,000 worth of collectible coinswere taken, as well as some imported liquor.

Neighbors in the area saythey're worried this could happen to them, while police are concerned with thefact that the thief has two shotguns.

"We're concerned abouthaving those guns in public by someone that would be willing to steal them,"said Lt. Bradley Biller with the Bowling Green Police. "We could probably makethe leap that that person's probably not going to be a responsible possessor ofthose firearms."

Anyone with informationabout the burglary is asked to call the Wood County Crime Stoppers at1-800-54-CRIME (27463).
