(Toledo News Now) -

TPD has filed murder charges against two people in connection to the death of missing man Brian Martin.

Robert D. Strauss and Desirae Strauss now face charges in Martin's death.

Martin was reported missing to the Ypsilanti Police Department, then to Toledo Police on June 28th. He was last seen in Toledo on June 22 when he came to coach a softball game.

Robert and Desirae Strauss, who are married, are currently being held in the Madison County Sheriff's Office in Anderson, Indiana on unrelated charges.

No body has been recovered yet - but evidence found and witness statements indicate that Martin was bludgeoned to death inside the Strauss' home on Consaul Street in east Toledo, according to a court-issued warrant.

Police have not released a motive for the murder, but say Martin was involved in a relationship with Desirae Strauss.

TPD says they think Martin's body is somewhere between Toledo and Anderson, Indiana. They believe the body could be located in some kind of barn or outdoor structure. They are asking property owners to check their buildings for any sign of Martin.

Martin is a 52-year-old white male, 6'4'', weighing 260 pounds. He has gray hair and brown eyes and was last known to be wearing a shirt that says "Gold Fast Pitch," with khaki shorts.

"We would ask, obviously if they did come across something that they thought was suspicious...to call their local authorities, who in turn would get in touch with the Toledo Police, and we would come out and investigate," said Det. Vince Mauro, with TPD.

Anyone with information in this case is asked to call Toledo Police at 419-245-3217.
