Some downtown areas will have low water pressure this week

Updated:
NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

Some residents and businesses downtown and in the Warehouse District will have low water pressure this week.

On Monday at 11 p.m., a construction company will begin repairing a fire hydrant on Julia Street between Magazine and Constance streets. The work is expected to be finished Tuesday at 6 a.m.

Girod Street between South Liberty Street and Loyola Avenue will also have low water pressure Tuesday as construction crews tie in a new water main that serves the area. That work will wrap up on Wednesday.

Both projects are part of the FEMA-funded waterline replacement program.
