WYNNE, AR (KAIT) – The Cross County Sheriff’s Office has made it easier for residents to report crime.

On Tuesday Sheriff J.R. Smith announced a Crime Tips form has been added to the sheriff’s office website.

In addition to submitting a written message, users can upload non-emergency photos, video, audio, and other files to the site.

The sheriff says the information will help officers investigate crime in the area.

The website, which was developed by Brooks Jeffrey Marketing of Mountain Home, launched in April 2011.

Since then it has received more than 10,000 unique visitors each month, Smith said.
