Local retail store raises money for March of Dimes

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - A local retail store has made a huge difference in the lives of babies.

The K-Mart store in Jonesboro recently raised over $10,000 for the March of Dimes.

Store Manager Ross Sedlacek said they were all really excited when they discovered the amount they had collected.

“It feels great. It really does. And to know that a lot of the money goes here to Arkansas is really nice too,” said Sedlacek. “Our cashiers were really proud to be able to help with the efforts.”

Sedlacek also said K-Mart has been the number one corporate sponsor for the March of Dimes for the past 31 years and has raised over $114 million dollars for the organization.
