Mission Outreach needing the community's help to fill need

MO teachers packing heat

After Missouri Governor Jay Nixon vetoed a bill that would have allowed teachers to carry guns in the classroom, Butler County school administrators are talking about a new option in arming school staff. On Region 8 News at 10, hear from two superintendents on why they think this may be a good option.

Mission Outreach Summer Program

When school lets out for the summer many kids are left hungry. The Mission Outreach of Paragould is trying to help Region 8 kids, but the donations are low. Allison Munn will let you know how you can help at 10.

New shelter opening in Region 8

The city of Trumann has invested in a new shelter for abandoned animals. Brandi Hunter will explain why it was needed in the community, all new at 10.
