    An Horry County mother and her boyfriend were arrested, and their children were placed in protective custody after officers found their home filled with piles of trash, animal waste, various insects, animals in poor condition, and an “unbearable” odor, according to a police report. The children, who were reportedly covered in bites and sores and appeared to be dirty, were taken into emergency protective custody, the report states.

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

A bakerydistribution plant in north Toledo is closing its doors, putting many out of ajob.

Wednesdaymorning, employees at Bimbo Bakeries were told they'll be losing their jobscome September 5. The closure will affect about 34 employees.

Thecompany issued this statement:

"Humanrelations representatives met with associates to discuss the closure, as wellas share resources available to assist associates in this time of transition.This closure will not have an impact on our customers and consumers, or theavailability of BBU products."

Employeessay they plan to meet with union representatives Thursday.
