City Youth Ministries fundraises, plans for summer trip before school starts

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Participants of City Youth Ministries' summer program washed cars Saturday morning to raise money for an end of summer trip. The car wash was held in the parking lot of Parker Park Community Center from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

City Youth program coordinator Najel Byrd said the kids deserve a treat after working hard all summer on service projects.

"In the next two weeks we have a community service project where we're going to go around and pick up limbs from the bad storm that was a month ago. So we just want to kind of reward them."
