State Police Seize 88 Pounds of Cocaine in Transit Through Region 8

FORREST CITY, AR - State Police made a big cocaine bust on Interstate-40 just east of Forrest City Tuesday afternoon.

Troopers seized 88 pounds of uncut cocaine after stopping a speeder.  Marvin Okeith Cobb and Harold Joe Curry were each charged with possession of cocaine with intent to deliver.

The 42-year-old Cobb and 47-year-old Curry are both of Millington, Tennessee.

They were also charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.  The troopers recovered about five grams of marijuana and some rolling papers.  The duo is scheduled for arraignment today.

    According to the Arkansas State Police, the 16-year-old injured in a shooting outside the Emergency Juvenile Shelter in Marion was shot by police.
