KENNETT, MO (KAIT) - A Paragould man was arrested in Missouri for possession of an explosive device.
Kennett police arrested Daniel Freytag on July 25 around 11:30 p.m.
According to a probable cause affidavit, Freytag was pulled over by a Kennett police officer on a traffic violation.
After being given permission by Freytag to search the car, the officer found an "impact explosive device" containing nitroglycerin in the middle console. The affidavit also states the officer found numerous electronic devices and two "modified electronic devices" that were tampered with.
During the investigation it was determined that Freytag was a convicted felon.
Freytag was charged with unlawful possession of an explosive weapon and is being held in the Dunklin County Jail.
