AR gas prices down over 4 cents in past week

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – Gas prices have fallen once again in the past week in the Natural State.

According to gas price website GasBuddy.com, the average retail gas price in Arkansas fell 4.4 cents per gallon in the past week. The average on Sunday coming to $3.30 per gallon based on a survey of 1,826 gas outlets monitored by GasBuddy.

Nationally, the average gas price fell 4.9 cents per gallon last week to $3.51.

Prices during the past week in Arkansas are 12 cents lower compared to a year ago and 15.7 cents lower than a month ago, according to GasBuddy.

    In April, Williams Baptist cross country runner Alex Van Herpen competed in the prestigious Boston Marathon. An incredible feat. Learning about his path to get there, it stopped me in my tracks. Five years ago Alex was bound to a wheelchair. in January of 2011, he was diagnosed with strep throat, the flu and mono all within a two week period. For five months Alex was bound to a wheel chair.     Jonesboro Police Officer Joseph Bransetter pulled over a car for no license plate illumination shortly after 9 p.m. Tuesday. Bransetter said after coming into contact with the driver, Eiichi Moore, he noticed the smell of marijuana.
