JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – A Jonesboro man was in jail on charges of criminal conspiracy while his brother was taken into custody for furnishing prohibited articles and criminal conspiracy, according to the Craighead County Sheriff's Office.
According to the Craighead County Sheriff's Office, a bench warrant was filed for David Brandon Buck, 27, of Jonesboro. According to an incident report, David Buck sent two pieces of mail that contained suspected methamphetamine to his brother, Brandon Clay Buck, 27, of Jonesboro. Brandon Buck was incarcerated at the Craighead County Jail, the report stated.
According to the report, Officer David Bailey got a tip on July 27th that David Buck would send his brother an envelope containing drugs under a post office mailing label. On July 29th, Bailey reported that an employee received six enveloped addressed to Brandon Buck.
Officers then got a search warrant.
Once the warrant was obtained, K-9 Joker sniffed the packages and "alerted to the odor of narcotics coming from two separate pieces of mail."
Brandon Buck was given a $50,000 bond.
