SEARCY, AR (KAIT) - Two Little Rock men were arrested for breaking into vehicles in Searcy.

Officers with the Searcy Police Department were called to The Ridge Apartments on Quality Drive just after midnight Monday to a report of two men wearing dark clothes breaking into vehicles.

Police said they observed Turod Jacobs, 21, walk away from a parked car attempting to get into a green SUV. Jacobs ran from officers, but he was later arrested.

The green SUV attempted to leave the parking lot of the apartment complex, but was stopped by police. The driver, Kristopher Kalson, 27, was arrested.

Police said they found two semi-automatic pistols during the arrests. Both guns were stolen from Conway, police said.

Kalson and Jacobs face felony charges including possession of a firearm by certain persons and breaking or entering.

Both men are in the White County Jail each on a $20,000 bond.
