City approved complaint committee for Suddenlink customers

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT)-The Jonesboro City Council met Tuesday to discuss several new resolutions on their agenda.

A popular topic on the agenda was forming a complaint committee for Suddenlink customers. Mayor Harold Perrin said there is a stipulation in the city's contract with Suddenlink that calls for a special committee. Complaints will be documented in a spreadsheet and the committee will meet with a Suddenlink representative once a month to discuss the document. Perrin said the complaints will also be useful when discussing the city’s contract.

"I think this is a win-win for both of us and I’ve talked to Suddenlink so I don’t want people to think this is the city of Jonesboro against Suddenlink," he said. "I will use those as mayor in 2016 when that comes up in May 31st to ask them to do some things for the city such as freeze it for senior citizens on their costs and other things."

The mayor wants to remind residents they have to file a complaint with Suddenlink first before going to the city.
