Driver injured after crashing into two helicopters

MOUNTAIN HOME, AR (KAIT) – One man was injured in a single vehicle accident after he drove his car into two helicopters in the jail yard, according to Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery.

According to Montgomery, a man drove his Lincoln Continental from a retaining wall at the sheriff's office. The vehicle landed on its roof near three helicopters.

Montgomery said firefighters arrived on scene and pulled the driver from the wreckage. He has transported to the Baxter Regional Medical Center.

Baxter said two choppers were damaged in the accident.
