JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Jonesboro Police officers were called out to an apartment on the 500-block of Matthews Avenue Friday afternoon in reference to an assault.

According to a police report from JPD, when they arrived to the apartment the victim said her boyfriend grabbed gasoline, started to pour it onto her and her kitchen floor, and lit the floor on fire.

The man, Michael Walke, 27, was arrested on unrelated charges for warrants through the city.

However, the landlord told police he plans on pressing charges in the assault case for the damage Walke caused to the apartment.
