POPLAR BLUFF, MO (KAIT) - Three Poplar Bluff teens were airlifted to Memphis hospitals following an early Wednesday morning crash.

The accident happened at 12:42 a.m. on Butler County Road 450 just west of Maud Street in Poplar Bluff, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Madyson Comfort, 17, was westbound when her car ran off the road and overturned. Two of the occupants were thrown from the vehicle.

Comfort and her 16-year-old passenger, Lorin Stuhr, were both airlifted to LeBonheur Children's Hospital in Memphis with serious injuries.

Another passenger, 19-year-old Dylan Sparkman, was flown to The MED in Memphis in serious condition.
