Forrest City man arrested during drug raid

FORREST CITY, AR (KAIT) -

A Forrest City man is in jail after police raided his home on Thursday.

According to the Forrest City Police Department, officers raided a home on the four-hundred block of D Avenue. Officers reportedly found a loaded .38 caliber revolver, a loaded .22 caliber rifle, 13.7 grams of cocaine, 4.5 grams of marijuana and more than six hundred dollars in cash.

Police arrested 37-year-old Kunta Golatt. He's charged with possession of marijuana, possession with purpose to deliver, simultaneous possession of drugs and guns, and an enhancement charge of possession near a church.

Police Chief Edward Reynolds says he's thankful for the hard work of the Forrest City Street Crimes Unit, Special Response Team, and Criminal Investigation Division and outside agencies for help. Forrest City Police Department is working hard to get these drugs and drug dealers off our streets, and make Forrest City the best city in the Delta.”
