1 dead in weekend crash involving motorcycle

DIAZ, AR (KAIT) -

A Newark man is dead after a crash over the weekend.

According to Arkansas State Police, John Bullington, 55, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on Highway 17 just north of Diaz.

The crash happened on Sunday around 1:30 p.m.

The crash report states Bullington was driving a Yamaha motorcycle south on Highway 17 when a vehicle traveling north turned into his path while attempting to make a left turn into a private drive.

The driver of the vehicle, Lane Eddington of Newport, was listed as being injured. No word on the severity of his injuries.
