TEL AVIV (CNN) – Palestine casualties are mounting again in Gaza, where Israeli airstrikes have claimed as least 21 lives and wounded more than 130 people in the last 24 hours, according to the Gaza Health Ministry.

Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed on Wednesday to continue the military campaign against Hamas after the cease-fire fell apart and hostilities resumed from both sides.

"In the last few weeks, we have attacked all of the infrastructure that Hamas has built. We managed, with the help of the Iron Dome, to intercept rockets that were sent,” he said. “We killed hundreds of terrorists. We destroyed thousands of rockets and we dismantled the infrastructure of tunnels that the Hamas has constructed over the years to attack us, and we have stopped every possible attempt to attack us from the sea, the land and by air and Hamas has suffered a big blow.

Netanyahu confirmed that operations is ongoing and will not stop until the full safety of Israeli citizens is assured.

"The operation has not ended. This is a long and continuous battle, and I am not talking only about the last few weeks. Our struggle against the terrorist organization is a long one," Netanyahu said.
