Arkansas Truckers Can Now Register Tax Data On-Line

DECEMBER 1, 2004 - Posted at 8:14 a.m. CST

LITTLE ROCK, AR - Truckers can register title taxes and fuel taxes online in Arkansas for the first time this week.

State Motor Carrier Administrator Mike Munns said renewing International Registration Plan accounts and completing International Fuel Tax Agreements used to take long hours and a trip to Little Rock.

Now, trucking companies need only visit www.trucking.arkansas.gov.  They can pay for registration by electronic check or Visa, MasterCard or Discover credit cards on a secure payment server.

The renewal service is available now for December 2004 registrations.

The service for the fuel tax agreements calculates mileage and fuel usage electronically, saving hours of tedious work.  The system automatically submits data and allows truckers to send in payments.
