Armed robbers steal cash from Springfield restaurant

SPRINGFIELD, TN (WSMV) -

The suspects of a violent robbery at a Springfield restaurant are still on the run.

Smokey Barn News reported that two men stormed into the Tio Chilo Mexican Restaurant Thursday night with a gun and demanded money.

The workers did everything the robbers requested and the thieves took off with cash.

The suspects were described as two Hispanic males. One of the suspects wore a mask, the other did not.

Police said before the crooks left, they took cell phones and cut the main phone line.
