MADISON, AL (WAFF) - A Madison County jury found a former teacher's aide guilty of sodomy.

The jury returned that verdict in Michael Horton's case after earlier Friday telling the judge they were deadlocked.

They found Horton guilty an hour after further deliberations. His family was very emotional after the verdict was read.

Horton's conviction is for his 2009 arrest for sexually abusing a child.

He will be sentenced on Sept. 25.
