Ripley County, MO man dies in crash

DONIPHAN, MO (KFVS) -

A Ripley County, Missouri man is dead after his car ran off the road.

It happened shortly before 7 p.m. on Saturday.

According to the Missouri Highway patrol, 45-year-old Rickey Jarrett of Doniphan, Missouri was driving a Chevrolet Blazer on US 160, about five miles east of Doniphan when his car ran off the right side of the road.

Jarrett over-corrected and the Blazer flipped, throwing him out of the vehicle.

The coroner pronounced Jarrett dead at the scene by Coroner Mike Jackson.

Troopers say he was not wearing a seat belt.
