KENNETT, MO (KFVS) -

Police in Kennett, Missouri are investigating after two people were hit by an SUV on Aug. 23.

According to police, they were dispatched to Compress Road around 9:34 p.m. to investigate.

They say 54-year-old Clinton D. Queen and 58-year-old Vernon Pittman, both of Kennett, were hit by a dark colored SUV that then left the scene.

Queen was taken to the hospital where he was treated for minor injuries and released.

Pittman was flown to a hospital in Memphis where police say he is still in critical condition.
