POINSETT COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - A Poinsett County man was sentenced to four years in prison after a judge revoked his probation on his previous drug conviction, according to documents filed in Poinsett County Circuit Court.
According to a sentencing order, Denarius Marquette Chandler, 21, was ordered to spend four years in the Arkansas Department of Correction. Poinsett County Deputy Prosecutor David Boling said Chandler plead guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia in 2013.
In April of 2014, Chandler was arrested by Trumann Police for attempted murder and unlawful discharge of a firearm.
According to TPD Chief Chad Henson, Chandler shot a 27-year-old man inside a home in the 300 block of Oak Street.
Chandler's court date on the attempted murder charge was set for November 3, 2014.
