FORREST CITY, AR (KAIT) - Drugs were seized during a domestic disturbance call in Forrest City.
According to the Forrest City Police report, officers responded to a domestic disturbance at the Magnolia Inn on August 26th.
Markea Burgess, 27, of Forrest City said that she had been in a fight with her boyfriend, Brantley Nalls.
Nalls was never located near the scene of the alleged incident.
During the investigation, Sgt. Neilson spotted evidence consistent with the sale of narcotics.
He and a detective were given permission to search the room by Burgess and found marijuana and Hydrocodone in many different locations according to the police report.
Burgess was arrested without incident.
Chief Reynolds with the Forrest City Police Department said, "I would like to thank the watchful eye of our patrol officers. This is a perfect example of an officer being observant to his surroundings. The Forrest City Police Department will be continuing their efforts to get these drugs and drug dealers off our streets, and make Forrest City the best city in the Delta."
