New charges filed against Paragould OBGYN accused of video voyeurism

Paul Becton, Jr. Paul Becton, Jr.
PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) - A 68-year-old Paragould doctor accused of taking nude photos of his patients without their consent faces more charges after detectives say more victims, including a juvenile, came forward.

A Greene County District Court judge found probable cause Tuesday to charge Paul Becton, Jr. with six counts of felony video voyeurism. That's in addition to five similar counts filed in April of this year.

Court documents submitted on Friday, August 29, reveal Arkansas State Police investigators interviewed three more females, including a juvenile who stated Becton “took photographs of her pubic region and her buttocks” during an office visit on April 1.

After receiving a search warrant, ASP investigators stated in court documents found three nude photographs of the girl in the deleted folder of Becton's cell phone.

The affidavit stated the girl's grandmother positively identified the photos as being of her granddaughter.

Court documents indicate two more women told police that Becton took nude photographs of them without their consent. Investigators reportedly found photographs on the doctor's phone corroborating their stories.

The alleged crimes took place at Becton's private obstetrical and gynecological practice, The Becton Women's Clinic in Paragould.

Region 8 News will have more on this case tonight at five and six.
