INDIAN BAY, AR - Vice President Dick Cheney has spent this morning duck hunting in the White River National Wildlife Refuge near Stuttgart.

Cheney kept his plans for the 24-hour visit under wraps until it was nearly over.

Dick Bell of Stuttgart, a one-time U.S. agriculture secretary told The Associated Press that Cheney's visit to Arkansas was a private pleasure trip and few details were available.

A number of roads were closed and airspace was restricted in advance of Cheney's visit.

The Secret Service says the Vice President will leave Arkansas later today.
