JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Jonesboro police officers were called to the intersection of Bridge and Roseclair on Friday in reference to a shots fired call, according to a police report.

Police said they received calls about a suspect described as a black man wearing camo shorts.

In the report, an officer saw a man walking south of Warren Street who matched the suspect description

When they approached him, officers found out that the man, Keith Real, 23, and that he was on parole.

After first denying he shot the gun, police said Real eventually took officers to where he left the handgun.

In the report, the officers said, “The weapon was ran through dispatch who advised that it was stolen out of Jonesboro.”

Real was arrested and taken to the Craighead County Detention Center.

According to a police report, the Jonesboro man now faces charges for possession of a firearm, theft by receiving, shooting a gun inside city limits, and a parole violation.

The police report shows that Real has a court date set for September 8.
