Kennett man charged with murder in connection to 2012 death

KENNETT, MO (KAIT) -

A Kennett man has been charged with murder in the death of a Kennett woman two years ago.

Glen D. Morgan, 35, of Kennett was charged with second degree murder, two counts of distribution of a controlled substance, and an alternative count of murder in the second degree and felony murder.

The charges stem from the death of Autumn Medley, also of Kennett, in September 2012, according to Dunklin County Prosecuting Attorney Stephen Sokoloff.

Medley's body was found on a county road near Gibson, Missouri. An autopsy determined Medley died from a drug overdose. 

Morgan is accused of injecting Medley with a mixture of methamphetamine and fentanyl. He is currently in jailed in the Missouri Department of Corrections on an unrelated case.
