Suspect arrested in Trumann stabbing

TRUMANN, AR (KAIT) - A Marked Tree man was arrested in Poinsett County after he stabbed another man Sunday, according to an incident report filed by the Trumann Police Department.

According to Detective Lenny Becker, Nicholas Cortez Addison, 26, of Marked Tree was charged with felony aggravated assault, battery of a police officer and terroristic threatening Tuesday.

According to Trumann Police Chief Chad Henson, officers responded to the 100-block of Rosewood Street on Sunday. Henson said officers found Fred English, Senior stabbed multiple times. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

According to Becker's narrative, Addison fought with officers at the Marked Tree Police Department after he was placed in custody. During the altercation, a female police officer hurt her foot, according to the police report.

Addison also faces charges out of Marked Tree.
