POPLAR BLUFF, MO (KAIT) - Four local teenagers were hospitalized Monday afternoon after their SUV slammed into a tree.
The crash happened at 5:25 p.m. on Butler County Road 536, west of Highway W.
James H. Parks, 16, was eastbound when his 2007 GMC Sierra ran off the road and struck a tree, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol's crash report.
Parks and 16-year-old passenger Dylan M. Lack, both suffered serious injuries.
Two other passengers, 19-year-old Joseph M. Davis and 15-year-old Trent L. Robertson, received minor to moderate injuries.
All four teens, who are from Poplar Bluff, were taken by ambulance to a local hospital.
