The Red Wolves shot a final-round 303 to fall to seventh place after finishing Monday's first two rounds in a tie for fourth with a score of 585. Petter Salqvist recorded A-State's best round of the day with a 72 and shot a team best 219 (75-72-72) to finish in a tie for 14th place individually.
Arkansas State finished three strokes behind Belmont, seven strokes back of fifth-place Mississippi State, and 10 strokes off the pace of third-place teams Southern Mississippi and fellow SBC member Louisiana-Lafayette. The Red Wolves finished three strokes ahead of eighth-place Lipscomb and also placed higher than Western Kentucky, Cincinnati, UALR, Toledo, and Middle Tennessee State. Louisiana Tech claimed the tournament crown with an 871, while host Memphis was runner-up.
Tanner Napier finished in a tie for 29th with a combined 223 (73-71-79), while Seth Garner was only one stroke behind him with a combined 224 (74-75-75) to finish in a tie for 32nd place. Also competing for the Red Wolves, Matthew Loiacano finished in a tie for 42nd place with a score of 225 (75-73-77), Oswin Schlenkrich ended the tournament in 71st place with a 237 (84-72-81), and Trent Jones, competing as an individual, finished in 70th place with a score of 236 (80-79-77).
A-State's next competition is the Bill Ross Intercollegiate, hosted by UMKC, scheduled to take place Oct. 13-14 in Overland Park, Kan.
