Former pawn shop employee accused of stealing over $87K

FORREST CITY, AR (KAIT) - Police have arrested and charged a man accused of stealing thousands from his former employer in Forrest City.

The owner of the EZ Cash Pawn & Retail in Forrest City contacted police on Sept. 12 in regards to a an internal theft from the business. The owner told police former employee Josh Wilson took $87,718.89 in cash over a period of time while working at the pawn shop.

According to Forrest City police, an investigation led to the arrest of Wilson on Tuesday.

Wilson was charged with felony theft of property and is currently out on a $30,000 bond awaiting trial.
