Jonesboro Police Department moves to South Caraway

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - The Jonesboro Police Department fully moved to the new location on South Caraway Friday.

Mayor Harold Perrin and Jonesboro Police Chief, Rick Elliot unveiled the new sign at 10 a.m.

It took two days to move from the Washington location to Caraway.

Chief Elliot said they are excited for the change.

"Some of the way the offices are set up is a little bit more user friendly for the officers," Chief Elliot said. "The fact that we got into a place that is new and been freshly remodeled, that's a plus."

Some offices will remain open at the Washington location, but will close at 5 p.m. daily.

For police assistance or records information, visit the South Caraway headquarters, which is open 24 hours a day.
