PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) - Emergency responders worked a train fire behind the Carriage Hill Drive subdivision near Greene County Road 906 south of Paragould, according to Sheriff Dan Langston.
According to Langston, fire and sparks started coming from the exhaust of a locomotive on the train. Langston said no hazardous chemicals were in danger of catching fire.
According to police, the Union Pacific train was heading north when it caught fire shortly after 9:00 Saturday morning. The employees of Union Pacific were off the train by the time emergency responders arrived.
No one was injured in this incident.
