A woman was killed and three people were injured in a crash Friday night on Highway 49.
The crash happened around 11 p.m. in front of the Party Store on the Greene County line, according to Sheriff Dan Langston and Arkansas State Police.
The ASP crash report stated a 2001 Pontiac Grand Am was traveling north when it turned in front of and collided with a 2006 Chevy Trailblazer traveling south.
A passenger in the Pontiac, 28-year-old Tamara Cambron of Dennard, Ark., suffered critical injuries and was airlifted to The MED in Memphis where she was pronounced dead.
The driver of the Grand Am, 16-year-old Travis Cline of Jonesboro; the driver of the Chevy, 30-year-old Jared Huffmaster of Paragould; and a passenger in the SUV, 21-year-old Hanna Huffmaster of Paragould, were all taken to NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro with unspecified injuries.
The crash shut down the highway for several hours as sheriff's deputies, ASP, and the Greene County Rescue Squad worked to clear the scene.
