JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - NEA Baptist had a dedication ceremony Sunday at the Fowler Family Center for Cancer Care.
The cancer center recognized a generous gift given by Kim and Chris Fowler. The donation will help in the funding of the new NEA Baptist Cancer Navigator program and the Cancer Patient Assistance Fund.
There was also a dedication of the Kim and Chris Fowler Hope Circle.
“Hope circle is one of the five programs in the NEA Baptist Charitable Foundation, and it's the support arm that helps patients and their families when they're going through that cancer diagnosis. It can be a very difficult time,” Robbie Johnson, Director of Development for the NEA Baptist Charitable Foundation, said.
Members of the center unveiled a sculpture that features five butterflies symbolizing hope and transformation of the human spirit.
